Maybe we should take a poll on crossposting in ASD ๐Ÿ™‚

For what? It's simple. Those who dislike Xposting do so because it means
they give up (their delusins of) control over their little space on Usenet.
Those that like it, as I do, see the obvious need to include new ideas from
    several groups for open discussion.

    Say it this way.

Lots of you, mainly women, want to close the bathroom door and twitter
amongst yourselves. Others want to kick that door open for comment and
debate in the international Usenet, open forum it is meant to be.

We each have answers for the problem. You have killfiles; we have Xposting
newsreaders. You simply don't want your "space" invaded and that is nothing
more than a self centered response to a problem you could easily solve by
    killfiling.

So grow up. Killfile, shut up and move on.

There is no need, obvious or otherwise, to include discussion on
subjects unrelated to the charter of the group.

It was never meant to be abused by simple minded people like you who
apparently do not possess the ability to see exactly what would happen
if everyone followed their lead and disregarded netiquette. If all
posters did what you propose, then you would have several hundred people
all cross-posting to their favourite newsgroups with every post, then
the replies from those several hundred newsgroups would swamp this
newsgroup in both on topic content as well as sheer volume.

You are a simple minded idiot.

As I said, if everyone followed your lead, you couldn't control the
noise with killfiles, as there would be several hundred off topic posts
for each one on topic. You would have a newsgroup that was of no use to
anyone, totally unreadable. The only reason that *you* can read or
follow threads on this newsgroup is because there aren't very many
posters as inconsiderate, stupid, and short sighted as you. Most that
follow your inane reasoning are about fourteen years of age and taking a
break from sniffing glue, or scratching their names in the paintwork on
    people's cars.

Yes, grow up. Post your address and I'll send you a couple of dollars
that you can put toward saving for a clue.
