I'm getting fat, so last Sunday I think I better go for a ride and burn
some calories. I fill my water bottle and go into the garage with my
jersey. I'm thinking I will need to pump my tires up, since it's been
three or four weeks since I last rode. But while I'm scanning the garage
for my Sears air compressor (I am lazy as well as fat), I notice my bike
isn't there. Not there? Can't be! But it's true, nowhere to be found.
Some buttwipe must have walked into my garage one evening after the sun
went down and stole it while I was in the house. One Trek 5000 gone
forever. Serves me right to fail to close the garage door right when I get
home, I suppose.
Anyway, now I need a new bike. I'm fatter than ever, and not exactly rich,
so I thought I'd come here and see if anyone had a used bike they want to
sell me. All replies are appreciated, and if anyone sees an Ice Green
(dark green) 58cm 1996 Trek 5000 for sale with no scratches and a black
mountain bike stem, I'd sure like to know about it (I live in N. Coastal
San Diego).
