  1. I have a Raleigh Competition GS frame I purchased new in the late
1970's, and I did not purchase a fork at the same time. I would like to
find an original equipment fork for this frame, so I can build up a bike.
This is a Reynolds 531 db tube bike and had a Reynolds fork with Huret
or Campy dropouts and sloped crown.

The frame is a 23 1/2 inch size. The fork tube has a Chris King
headseat pressed in, and the measurements from top of headset to bottom
of headset is a little over 7.5 inches, say 7.6 inches which translates
to 193.4 mm. I would assume a fork head length of 200 to 210 would be
suitable, too long and I can have it cut down by a local shop.
