  1. I have an old French bike with a rear derailleur and no front
derailleur. The shifter that came with it is a low quality Huret
friction shifter, and I want to upgrade to a Simplex retroriction. I
see the going rate on ebay and elsewhere for a pair of high quality
retrofriction shifters is ~$50, but I don't need two, and feel silly
spending so much money when I only need one. If anyone has just one
Simplex retrofriction shifter for sale or trade (perhaps the other one
got bent or lost?), please get in touch via e-mail. Thanks.

  2. I should have mentioned that I need a right (drive) side shifter.
