Thanks for the response. I just realized that I omitted a crucial
piece of info: I need the older 7/8 speed model. I am not sure what
the differences are--probably tooth spacing?

Big ring offset a wee bit toward the small ring but completely compatible with
an 8s chain and system, like the Sram PC-48.
