  1. Looking for 12-23 or 12-25. Ten speed. New. All local
shops "can special order it for me," but they'd tack on
special shipping and tax on top of the retail price for
    the special order.

Who has good mailorder prices or who is a great source for
Campy items such as my 10v need?

  2. 12-23 are not readily available yet. We have Veloce and
Centaur 12-25-$80 for Veloce, $115 for Centaur...

Why don't ya tell the lazy lbs to just have a few available?
They can get them from the same place as shimaNO.-QBP-

Do you have a 11-23 currently? It may be possible to build a
12-23 from that. (I did not want to wait for a Veloce 12-23
on backorder) The catch is that you must have the style that
has the loose 17, and 19 cogs, (Centaur I think, maybe
veloce) If so, add an 18t, add an "F" spacer between your 13
and 14, a 12T 1st position, 12t lock ring, and you are good
to go. One caveat, this method will set you back about $50.
I think a new Veloce is around $90ish, but like Peter said,
these are not in steady supply. Rumor is that Campy is going
to add the 12-23 to its Chorus and Record lines in 2005.
