As far as I know Linus won't start...
ok, obviously I'm not up to speed. I'll go with Jens then -
I went with Freire earlier but now am going with Bettini cos he's going to win just to show them all... nothing like anger and pettiness to motivate someone.
And the course didn't look that selective for the women & the U23 races.
How about a podium of Bettini, Valverde and Zabel ? wouldn't that be fun to watch the UCI go nuts on that one?

Cheers. The whole race is also going out on BBCi via BBC.Co.Uk. The service gets a bit pixellated at times but it's free, which of course is the most important thing. The downside is that Porter and Boardman will probably be doing the droning.

I understand that BBC2 will have it live from 4.30pm.

put me down for Port Davis -
The very same. He's monopolised the BBC commentator's spot for about the last 30 years. He also MC's many of the domestic races. He's a decent bloke and obviously has great experience but he makes some shocking errors and, worst of all, speaks in a nasal, sub-Birmingham drone. It's hard to equate this with anything N. American. Maybe, think listening to a backwoods hick from Tennessee for 6hrs. (Does that get me in trouble?) Birmingham always comes out as the least liked English accent in surveys. To make things even worse, aurally speaking, he's got out-of-work Sean Yates co-blathering. To round things off, they've also got the Scottish lady who usually makes a pig's [censored] of the Rugby interviews. Still, at least it's not Disco fanboy Phil the Shill.

\cycling.tv's coverage doesn't start for a while, any chance someone could link me the stream from bbc.co.uk as I can not find it 🙁
-
At 4.30 the only game in town is Ireland v Argentine at RWC. It will certainly be better than the deadly, dull performance from your lot last night. Oh, and congratulations.:p

Good luck this afternoon. I think you'll need the hand of the gods. At least we're not Welsh.

BETTINI !!!!!!!....... No one deserved it more....
The Rainbow jersey will be worn by a true champion of the sport....... This sport has a way of deciding champions the way it should be....on the road. -
No need to say anything today...

He gave the right answer.... -
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, must remember to 'update' my signature. 😄
Two road racing world champions in one weekend for Italy. Not a bad weekend, I must admit.
-
A very bad result for the sport. It is bad enough to have the reigning TdF champ an obvious doper, but at the same time having the current world champ with the same dark cloud haning over him makes it worse.
