    man has died at his home at the age of 114. Guinness
    World Records recognized Joan Riudavets Moll as the
    world's oldest man....Riudavets attributed his long life
    to doing everything in moderation, including smoking "but
    not too much."

    P.S.: Jeanne Calment, believed to be the world's oldest
    person, died August 4, 1997, in Arles, France. She was
    122 and had smoked into her 100s.

    Curiously, Mr. Riudavets never travelled further than 30 Km
    from his birth place, he always lived at Minorca Island
    (this fact is similar to certain longevous populations,
    such as those of Caucaso and the Andes ), and another
    detail is that he would read newspapers until his last days
    (he did not develop Alzheimer's disease). The Mediterranean
    diet may have also favor him positively apart from his
