  1. The World LD Tri Champs were on (replayed) one of the Foxtel sports
channels yesterday. It appeared to be a non-drafting race, althought
they didn't say so. It was 4km/120km/30km. The guy who came in first on
the bike did his 120km a few minutes faster than my 90km in Cairns! I
think he was only a bit over 40km/h but that was for 120km non-drafting
after swimming 4km, I was impressed. Then the runners were doing it in
about 1h 55, 30km in only 20 minutes longer than I do 21 km, how
humbling. It looked like a great race, biassed towards runners and
swimmers for a change instead of just cyclists, so that it was a bit
more balanced. No offence to those on a.b who claim running is [censored] just
because they can't do it ;-P

PS Went for my first run yesterday, 1 hour on the trails at Karawatha
Forest on the Southside of BrisVegas, got massively lost by bush-bashing
but it was heaps of fun. I plan on going for a bike ride this arvo. My
    tonsilitis is at last gone!
