Whole Foods had great looking halibut fillets. I bought a 1 lb fillet, cut it in 2, sauteed it in grapeseed oil, and served it over mashed potatoes and topped it with a mix of julienned fennel and shallots sauteed in butter. Really good!

Okay, I took your cue here and got hold of (for the first time in my life) some grapeseed oil to fry up some Alaska halibut today.
Excellent results -- that oil did not smoke even a tiny bit, and the fish fried perfectly. I'm sold. Thanks!
