I had success(??) with wireless on Vision USS by mounting computer atop the headset. This places
the receiver within range of the transmitter.I have gone back to hard-wiring due to the frustration with trying to "debug" the wireless when it
was not operating:
i.e.
1 ) Is it not picking up the magnet?
2) Is there interference (physical or electronic)?
3) Is there a poor physical connection in the receiving unit?
4) Is the transmitter battery low/dead?
5) Is the receiver battery low/dead?
6) Is the computer battery low/dead?I had each of the above 6 problems occur at some point.
Wired computers have some of the same problems, but cutting out 2 or 3 of the "bug" options helps me
get back on the road which is where I definitely prefer to be.DeVon

Yes. I use a specialized wireless on my R40. It works to mount the computer on the standard vistion
T-mount that fits in the Front der tube. At this moment I have the computer mounted on the fork
extension used for the indirect steering when the bike is configured as a long wheelbase bike. I
like this arrangement, keeps the statistics, but I am not alwaysl looking at the computer.Brad. R40 Rocket Linear X 2

On my Volae Club, I just installed a Vetta V100 with cadence - both speed and cadence are wireless.
The distance between the spoke magnet and the wireless pickup/transmitter unit seems to be critical.
It was important for me to get rid of any extra wires as I intend to break the bike down for air
travel. It appears to work OK in the garage ;-) Will have to see how well it performs on the road."Richard Rodgers" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:20040114090810.11149.00002880@mb-
