Wipperman Chain Questions

Use the least expensive compatible chain. keep it clean, measure it and change
when stretched.

Hi Peter, Thank you very much for your replies. They are deeply
appreciated.

On my Bianchi Campione, I figure the standard nickel 9-speed Wipperman
Chain should be of much better quality than the cheap $12 KMC chain I
have on there now from the factory. I am very metictulous with my
bikes, and so far the cheapo KMC has been giving me good service so
far (about 350 miles on this bike so far).

For my NOS Pearl White Schwinn 50th Anniversary Paramount, with gold
fork that I'm currently building up from scratch, maybe the gold
colored Wipperman Chain (Brass Plated I think it is) would be a nice
complimentary addition?!

Essentially with the Schwinn, I'm building a museum piece, and I
haven't cut corners, or cost so far with it.

Any chain can be easily removed if used with a quick link. You can
use most brands of quick links (such as the Wipperman Connex or the
Sram Powerlink) with most brands of chains (including Campagnolo and
Shimano), AFAIK.

dusty/dirty conditions a lot lately. No problem.

To keep it clean, use an appropriate lube. Search for the phrase
"vanity chain lube" on groups.google.com.
