What do endurance trackies do in the off season? All the literature I can find refers mainly to endurance roadies ie putting in shed loads of base miles and on no account doing too much higher end work which would cause one to be ill or peak too soon.
While the base miles are obviously important, I have weaknesses I need to work on specific to the faster stuff (eg my sprint is shocking, and having to ride omniums, this is really letting me down!). Can one build this into the off season programme?
Is there any literature on track-specific training?
Ideally of course I'd get an experienced coach and a power meter, but without winning the lottery, there's no way I could finance this!
Thanks
