Lasted ten years, huh? Pretty good. Most of those hubs lasted about ten days. Cut your losses and
lace a new hub into the wheel. Those hubs weren't very good and it's a wonder it lasted this long.

Yeah, I heard that, but I love this hub. I like the way it catches quickly when you resume pealing
from coasting, an the silent coasting is great. I haven't had any losses yet, if I could just figure
out how to get he axle out, so I can pop a couple new bearings in it! (Plus it is a 7 sp Suntour
cassette, so replacing it could end being a pain in the a&#!, not to mention the wallet)

The silence wasn't the main cool thing about the Winners hubs. The amazing thing about them was that
there was no perceptible slack when you engaged the pedal drive; There seemed to be no forward free
play at all. The Shimano Silent Clutch hubs (which I believe are discontinued) used a similar
mechanism, but weren't quite as lash free as the Winners.

On the other hand, the Shimano Silent Clutch hubs were much less unreliable than the Winners, and a
tiny fraction of the price. Even the Shimano version was much less reliable/durable than their more
conventional pawl-type Freehubs.

If you want silence, don't coast.
