  1. Help. Visiting Wiltshire next week. Need bike friendly b+b. Will be with wife, new to cycling 25-35 miles flatish. Oldy worldy for her, pre-history for me. Handy pubs + eating would be great. Oh+ bike cafe! Important that routes are friendly to maitain interest, we will both be riding hybrids. Help! I am a road man and really dont want to make mistake of chucking in lots of hard sections. thanks

    If you want flat routes, the south and west of the county are better.
    The Marlborough Downs can be very steep if you find yourself on the
    "scarp" side of the escarpments (e.g. going south out of Swindon is hard
    work whichever road you take).
