A reminder that there are three BUG rides to William St, Kings Cross
tomorrow. Sunday July 16 all meeting near the coke sign and the ugly
stick and ball sculptures at Kings Cross at midday.
Bike North are running two rides, one starts at the office of the Deputy
Premier John Watkins at Ryde 9:30am, the other from Gladys Berijiklian's
office on Willoughby Rd, Naremburn 10:30am. Details for both rides are

Premier and Member for Lakemba, Morris Iemma Riverwood, ride details are

the media. I'll have blank petitions if someone wants to go for a
different wording this time, and unsigned ones with the current wording
as well if anyone cares to put their signatures to it. I'll have some
handouts about the issue, if anyone else wants to bring stuff thats
great. I'd really like to discuss putting in a notice of intention for a
protest ride on William St, midday Sunday July 30.

July 16 Sunday - Backpedalling on William St Distance: 55km return
(27km one way)
Grade: some traffic, includes cyclepaths, includes cycleways, moderate pace

Starts at: assemble 9:00am opposite Premier Morris Iemmas office in his
local electorate, 48 Thurlow St, Riverwood (visible from Riverwood
railway station). Ride leaves 9:30am sharp! Don't be late!
Morris Iemma, NSW Premier and Member for Lakemba, controversially
announced on 05/06/06 (World Environment Day!) intentions to remove the
just completed bike lanes on William St to make way for another
eastbound general lane. Sartor has now signed approval to go ahead.
Cycle from Iemmas office via M5East path, Bexley North, Tempe, Mascot,
Rosebery to arrive midday at Kings Cross near the big Coke sign to see
and cycle William St and surrounds, and have a talk about the issues.
Depart Kings Cross 2:00pm for return via similar route for pizza, plonk
and a debrief at Riverwood at Monte Carlos resturant, opens 5:00pm,
close to station and cab rank (so no excuses for cycling home under the
influence if you enjoy yourself to much).
There is no trackwork scheduled on the Airport and East Hills Line if
you want to get the train between Riverwood and Kings Cross. Proposed
