  1. hi, i cycle a track that is pretty dusty, and i often feel dust particles enter my eye though i lose feeling of them pretty quickly and after riding my eyes feel completely normal. I was just wondering whether it is o.k. to cycle like this or will it harm my eyes in the long run. I tend to find glasses a bit uncomfortable and prefer not to wear them.

  2. The eye is an amazing organ and is very resilient to seem so fragile. Spaeking from an experience(non medical) view I would say no.
Your eyes may get irritated but probably not permanently damaged.
Of course too much of anything is ,well, too much so I recommend eye protection.

  3. Like jhuskey said, probably not, but eyewear would be a good idea. It really sucks when something big gets in there and you can't hold your eye open, which isn't the best situation when on a bike.

  4. I ride in dusty roads also and I have no doubt: I wear glasses, the ones I use for driving, but I really don't need them for riding my bike, but the glasses give me just the little extra protection I need. I sometimes go into the paved road and then insects heating my eyes may become dangerous for the ride.

  5. thank you guys for the info, i'll search for the most comfortable glasses i can find, i don't wanna take any risks with my eyes.
