Widest road shoes?

Shimano are a fairly wide fitting shoe. In addition, Shimano's high end shoes (like the R215's) are available in an extra wide fittings.

Specialized are another brand that are generally a wider fit.

I have wide feet and road shimano road shoes and specialized mtb shoes

As a general observation, you may need to stay away from the euro brands, like sidi, time, carnac etc, which are generally a narrower fit (unless they are now making extra wide specific shoes like shimano)

Went down this road too, size 11 1/2 EEE, (Euro Size 47) found these worked for me:

Shimano TR01 - This is a triathlon shoe with a full carbon sole and a single reverse velcro flap.. Very light, , but with the fuller open weave mesh top whislt great cool summer shoe and extra wide in the last got a bit chilly under 20C and needed overshoes to cut the cooling effect of the breeze.

Sidi - Mega Zeta perfect wide last shoe

Sidi Genius 5.0 Hi-tech carbon ( one size larger than normal) so I have the 48s and they are perfect...expensive beasts, but worth it for strength, comfort fit and light weight.

tried Vittoria, & Time for roadies too, but all too narrow in the last and after 20mins when the feet expand after warm up, not comfortable as above.

Track..Only Duegi or Sidi track...one size down on normal and no socks...perfection.

good luck...your foot comfort is paramount in MHO, if they are hot, ache or cramp up you react accordingly...

gimme comfy riding shoes and a heavenly sole (soul?) massage regularly and I'm a happy boy ( oh and the odd MGoat, Blueberry Pancakes, Saki and a Salmon Benne, accompanied by IZ Kamakawiwo`ole ...ahhh nirvana, the bliss ,the serenity 🙂

I've got pretty wide feet myself and I have a pair of Sidi Ergo's and Genius V's both in 47's which is the size I normally wear in normal shoes/trainers. I did have a pair of DMT's and got really bad foot pain from them not being wide enough.. You can get a really good price on the Sidi's from probikekit generally or you can look around and maybe get a pair on e-bay..
