As Subject says.. why isn't there a track-specific newsgroup?
It could either be focused on track riding/racing or it could be a "fixed" newsgroup about all fixed gear bikes - but then you'd get fixed mtb riders as well.
I'm just wondering because cyclingforums.com has a track group.
How do groups get created anyway?

I venture to say it's covered by <rec.bicycles.racing> since people don't tour or commute in a velodrome.

Yeah, I guess so. RBR is so full of noise though! I used to read it but haven't for a while now... What about rec.bicycles.racing.track ? 😉

You'd find opposition coming out of the woodwork. Witness <alt.rec.bicycles.recumbent> Why's that ya figure?
Then you get hauled around in the config and admin newsgroups by the geekiest fux anywhere.
