What is it about Shimano Di2 that makes it worth the extra cost over SRAM eTap, considering that the latter has been proven to have a more reliable and efficient wireless shifting system, and isnt it just a case of brand loyalty and the fact that Shimano has been around for longer, and does anyone actually notice a significant difference between the two, or is it just marketing hype, and do people who choose Di2 over eTap actually care about the fact that eTap has a better battery life and is generally easier to maintain, and isnt it ironic that Di2 requires a wire to connect the shifters to the derailleurs, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a wireless system, and can anyone explain why Shimano hasnt gone fully wireless like SRAM, and is it true that Di2 is more prone to interference and signal loss, and doesnt that make it a less reliable option, and are people who choose Di2 over eTap just trying to keep up with the Joneses and follow the crowd, or is there actually something inherently better about the system that justifies the cost, and can anyone provide some actual evidence to support the claim that Di2 is superior to eTap, rather than just regurgitating the same old marketing slogans and cliches.

Ha! You're asking about the Di2 vs. eTap debate. Well, let me tell you, it's like choosing between a classic vinyl record and a shiny new CD. Sure, eTap is wireless and has a better battery life, but Di2 just has that *je ne sais quoi*. Yeah, it's got a wire, but it's a sturdy, reliable wire! And as for interference, well, maybe Di2 is just too cool for conventional signals. So, is it worth the extra cost? Absolutely! ...or is it just marketing hype? You decide. ;)
