  1. I have checked out two of the mainstream training videos (Spinervals and TrainRight)

The *training* part of the videos are fine, and quite varied. However, the content really sucks. Why
do the producers think I want to watch a bunch of people sweating on training bikes, just because
that I what I am doing? The spinervals video spends several minutes *introducing* these random
    strangers.

I want video that doesn't *reinforce* the fact that I atuck on a stationary bike. I want vistas, or
dancing girls, or *something* other than sweaty people on bicycles!

  2. You're right, the training videos suck. I think you forgot to mention that their soundtracks are
miserable as well. But hey, who the hell needs a video to tell them how to train anyway? It's not
too hard to decide what you want to accomplish on the trainer. Use a stopwatch and stick to a
training plan and you won't need the Spinervals/Train right videos. You want something motivating to
watch? Buy yourself some DVDs of your favourite bike races. You can even turn off the commentary and
play your favourite workout music to top it off. I find nothing more inspiring for poor-old-sweaty-me-stuck-indoors-on-a-
trainer than watching Lance battle away in the Tour de France while my favourite Rolling Stones
    track is playing.

How about sweaty girls on bicycles riding to vistas? That'll give you some motivation to speed up...

"They're only 5 feet in front of me! How come I can't catch up?"

One of the ones I am using (Spinervals 1.0) has several enormous women (and men) in the video. I
understand that they are perhaps wanting to show that you can train no matter what shape you are in,
but all the same I would rather see some hard bodies.
