My name is 888sport, (I am very concern about identity theft and hankers hence the name). I live in the north east. I ride a Harley Davidson, and Vespa mortorcycles, and a cannondale montain bike. I am a 49 year old women engineer. I ride all year round except when this salt, sand, and ice on the road , then a drive my car which is a audi. Hi 888sport, I also ride all year round. I live in the Atlanta area and ride a LeMond Buenos Aires road bike and a Gary Fisher MTB. I usually ride between 7000 and 8000 miles a year.

Today is 18 degrees and there is snow on the ground but the streets are clear. I have to go to downtown Boston and parking is very expensive so I have to ride my bike. People will think I am crazy but I'm not going to pay $27 to park and parking on the street with a car is next to impossiple to find a space. It is nice to have meet you.🙂

Good to hear back from you 888sport. I grew up in northern Wisconsin and it would have to be at least 30 below before I would even consider gloves and head protection. As long as you can wear something that will block the wind you should be okay in 18 degree weather. And, as far as funny looks go, I think you should be used to them. Most people don't understand why anyone would ride a bike anyway. Just those of us who have this unwavering passion that insists that two wheels are much better than four. You mentioned engineer type of work. What exactly do you do. I fix computer equipment, and everything else that others haven't figured out, for a children's hospital.
