Which Chain?

9 speed only!!!!!! Each chain "speed" has it's own width to match the freehub cog spacing

I would suggest you buy a Sram rather than Shimano chain as it will wear better, some think it won't shift as well but I've never noticed much difference myself. I once wrenched in a shop whose owners' were diehard Shimano fans but, they only stocked Srams.

Match the chain to the cassette/ 9s-9s. A 105 level 9s chain shifts better when new than a comparible sram chain, IMO, but the sram chain has a snap link. 'May' last longer. Least expensive compatible chain. More expensive won't last any longer or work any better, just be shiny.
