Heading for a weekend in the hills in a fortnight and was wondering
about the relative merits of Llyn Gwynant and Gwern Gof Uchaf
campsites.
Is there much to choose between them - or should I consider an
alternative?
Comments appreciated - many thanks.

Curig village - signed on OS MAPS as a bunkhouse but it is a good campsite -
next door to YHA. The campsite at Nant Peris (opposite the Vaynol Arms) is
also good.--

positionSpent five days there at Easter, It is well located and built around a
system of terraces which I guess will be more midge proof than most in the
summer. The showers are a little eccentric but they work. And it is right
next door to a superb pub. Am back there this weekend probably - if I can
convince my son and nephew to give up the site opposite the Vaynol Arms in
Nant!--
