I have an 97 Cannondale R400 road bike and think I need to buy something better, I'm willing to spend about $3k. I will probably ride about 100 miles a week here in Austin Texas. What are your recommendations? Also any resources for a training schedule or riding tips? TIA ~ Neville

For $3k you are going to get a really nice bike no matter what you buy. I have no particular recommendations except if I were in your shoes I would definitely buy either a carbon or titanium frame or a combination of the two. I envy getting to choose a $3k bike. Have fun, and post back with your decision and how you arrived at it. I'm always interested in how people finally choose the bike for them. Good luck and ride hard.
