In the process of buying my first carbon bike. Have looked at a kuota kharma with sram rival group set and a trek madone 4.7 with full shimano ultegra. Has anyone ever owned either bike and what is your preference in gears.

Best is different for everyone. I have a Madone 4.5 with Sram Rival and really like it. I've ridden Shimano Ultegra and like the Sram shifters better.

One is as good as the other in terms of mechanical and material quality. Test ride each, then buy the one that fits best, rides best, looks the best, and works for your budget.
