hello,i'm looking to buy myself a new bike theres a few in my price range what i'm looking at,but be nice to hear others opions on them ,theres the GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc 2004 , Trek 4500 2004 , Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc 2004 , gary fisher Wahoo or maybe if i save a bit more the orange gringo,any of them any good or if you've got any others up to say about £500,thanks

if i was you i woudltn get a bike with mechanical discs, one of my friends is really p*st of wid his Hardrock disc bike, hes gonna buy V's next week, V's are sumtimes stronger and "lock" much easier than mech', unless you get hyrdrualics discs, juss get V's (that's my opinion) about the bike.........i had a 4500, and its rele gd bike for that price range, very light compared to the hardrock and a stiff model.
