I had to wear my regular watch today because I haven't had time to get
anything with gps or a heart rate monitor yet.
You've posted asking about cool max tee-shirts, cool max shirts, heart rate
monitors, protein bars on ebay, and GPS units -- and you've only just started ?
Are you interested in running, or are you more interested in shopping for
various fitness related doodads ?
It's great that you've got proper footwear, but now your best bet is to focus
on running. Leave the GPS units for another day. Avoid "great bargains" on
anything (e.g. protein bars on ebay) for now -- hang around for a while and
you'll know what a "great bargain" is. They all come and go. There's no such
thing as "the deal of a lifetime".
The shoes are essential because without proper footwear you're at risk of
injury. Good clothes are comfortable -- a convenience, for sure, but not a
necessity. The other stuff is pure window dressing and will *not* help you
become a better runner. You become a better runner by running, not by shopping.

feel the burn though, I even had some pressure in my chest a couple of
times.
It's good that you're working hard, but it's not necessary to push yourself
really hard. It's more important to train consistently. I'd suggest slowing
down about 1 minute per mile or so.
