Where to ride around Sydney

I'm just off the Princes Hwy and ride down the M5 to work most days. It's
25km each way but not a lot of sights. I find any closer to the city too
dangerous so you may want to take a train trip for rides. Head up to
Hornsby and ride north (or south back to the city) or down to engadine and
head south(?) down the princess towards wollongong way. If you want some
good climbs head to the Royal National Park near Engadine or up to the
Kuringai NP near Hornsby.

If you just want a ride for fun and fitness, an alternative to the scary
Sydney roads is loops around Centennial Park:

Loops may sound boring, but it's a very pleasant setting, there are
almost no cars, and most importantly, there are always other cyclists of
all abilities doing loops to paceline/match-race/talk with.

You've ridden on the Princess, and ANZAC Parade?!? You know no fear!
(ps: even the bike path over the ANZAC bridge between Rozelle and
Pyrmont scares the spit outa me...)
