Where to find gear levers?

  1. Hi again,

    Thinking of getting the old bike out again, haven't ridden in a long time.
    My problem is that my old piece of junk has trashed gear levers on it. They
    are the old downtube mount style (braze on) and the ones on it at the moment
    are some type of old shimano black plastic/nylon ones.

    Can anyone tell me where i could find some cheap replacements for these,
    maybe you have some laying in a corner somewhere (willing to pay not after
    handouts).

    Didn't want to get new ones if i could avoid it as if all goes to plan i
    will be upgrading to a new bike soon. Just want to get back on again but the
    lever problem is stopping me.

    Any info would be greatly appreciated

    P.S. bike is an old PUCH so i am not sure what the thread is inside the
    braze ons for the levers(pulled them apart a few years ago and got no idea
    where the original screws are now)
