*this figures as Canada is getting screwed over in this new UCI America Tour, nothing new given Huts' Europhile interest.
The first initiative implemented by the Foundation is the Athlete Travel and Training Subsidy Program (see attached .pdf). This program provides direct financial assistance to aspiring road cyclists with successful competitive results who have the potential to achieve higher competitive levels and results. The goal of the fund is to relieve the financial burden on junior/development athletes lacking in financial resources. Financial assistance is considered for travel to designated development camps and/or specific races as designated in the application guidelines.
