Hello!
I am Andie, and currently reside in Virginia Beach, VA. I have been serving in the United States Navy for the last 18 years, and have been an avid cyclist for the last 3 years, not withstanding deployments. I am a mechanic by trade, but have found cycling to be much more addictive than turning wrenches.
My current bicycle is a Cannondale Quick Six Hybrid, but I'm upgrading TODAY!!! Provided nothing changes, I'll be getting a Scott Speedster S10 as my first road bike, and if all goes as planned, I'll put my first 25 miles on it shortly after I pick it up. I have yet to do a group ride, and want to get a little more practice under my belt before I jump out there but hopefully in the next couple of weeks, I'll be able to do just that.
I found this forum while doing some research on my intended purchase, and hopefully the group can "get me up to speed" with plenty of tips and tricks to quicken my learning curve. Happy Peddling to you all!
