  1. I recently purchased a new bike, with Bontrager Race wheels. My old bike has Mavic Aksium wheels on it. Since I will be selling my old bike I was hoping that somenone could lend advice as to which wheels I should keep, and which I shoud sell with my old bike.

The Mavics are hand made wheels I believe however are a tad heavier than the Bontrager Race wheels. I have been told that the Mavics typically have a better set of bearings in them?

In any event, it is unlikely that whatever set I sell on the old bike, the value of the wheels will be recognized in the price due to the bike's typically low price point (Lemond Reno, Tiagra/105). The bike came with Alex AT450 wheels on it, but they were burned up in the first 1,000 miles. I suppose another alternative would be to purchase a set of used Alex wheels to place on the bike (probably about $100+/-).
