Hi everybody, I have a problem since I installed a new set of Dura-Ace 7800 brakes. Everytime I install the front wheel (Open Pro, Dura-Ace hub almost new), I slip it fully into the dropouts but often it is not well centered with respect to the brake caliper. Then I can remove and reinstall the wheel but it doesn't change, I have to re-align the caliper with the tiny hex screw.
I had no problem with the old calipers (Shimano 7410, also dual pivot) and the new rear one doesn't seem to be affected. Now this starts getting annoying!

Francesco, lift the front end of the bike just enough to slip the front wheel in and make sure it doesn't touch the ground when tightening the skewer. I use my fingers to seat the axle as I'm tightening. The 7800 brake calipers, you can move by hand to adjust without tools. Open up the quick-release on the brakes once the wheel is in, then with both hands, move the brake calipers side to side to center, close the quick-release. Can you believe people actually pay for this adjustment? -tom

Have you tried turning the wheel around? It might be out of dish.

My RX100 normal reach dual pivots needed endless re-aligning. It was caused by having the pads too close to the rim. After relaxing the cable tension to what the Shimano manual suggests, this went away.
