What's Your Prediction: Which Team will win the TdF Stage 4 Team Time Trial?

It looks like a close contest between Discovery and CSC.

T-Mobile has a lot of power, but they probably won't be able stay
together.

My prediction:

1) Discovery
2) Team CSC + 30"
3) Phonak + 1'30"
4) T-Mobile + 2'
5) Quickstep-Innergetic +2'15"
6) Gerolsteiner
7) Credit Agricole
8) Liberty Seguros
9) Rabobank
10)Davitamon-Lotto

1) Agritubel
2) Elk Simplon
3) Baloworld Valsir
4) Volksbank Ideal
5) Omnibike
6) Jean Floc'h
7) Team DFL
8) Arbo
9) Team Slovenja
10) VC Roubiax

I doubt anyone but Rogers and maybe Sinkewitz is motivated to put in any
major effort. It's far far more important for the team to keep Boonen and
his helpers fresh for the coming stages than wasting any more energy than
necessary on two riders who are leaving after the season, and neither of
whom impressed in the opening ITT.

Hasn't even been top 15 the last five years (which was as long back as I
bothered to check), and I don't see why that should change this year.

The Germans will probably head off tword Poland (old habits die hard),
the Italians no doubt will peel off in the direction of the nearest
cafe, leaving poor Sevilla and Vinokurov to fend for themselves. And
that will probably be the only interesting thing that happens all day.

1 CSC
2 DSC
3 PHO
4 GST

1 and 2 should be super close, but I give it to CSC because they have the
advantage of starting last.

Armstrong wasn't the only DSC rider to pass his TMO minute man. 5 other guys
managed the same feat. In fact, Vino is the only TMO rider who had a faster
time than the DSC rider following.

Padrnos > Guerini +57"
Noval > Kloden +33"
Popovich > Schreck +1'11
Azevedo > Nardelllo +1'04
Vinokourov > Beltran -1'21
Rubiera > Sevilla +1'28
Savoldelli > Kessler +1"33
Hincapie > Steinhauser +1'32
Armstrong > Ullrich +1'06

TMO is gonna lose some time. I'll bet they'll be happy for the time
adjustment rule tomorrow.

I think one of those top 4 teams will take a spill on rainy roads.

BWAAAAHHH!!!

I wonder what Tyler does think of it all. I suppose he's tuning in to
OLN like the rest of us.

CSC. It won't be close, either.

Based upon the results of the I.T.T., I'll predict the following:

DSC
CSC 0.16
PHO 1.50
GST 2.23
FAS 2.52
LSW 3.00
TMO 3.10
IBA 3.40
QST 3.50
LIQ 4.04
BTL 4.06
C.A 4.18
DVL 4.30
FDJ 4.30
DOM 4.51
RAB 4.52
COF 4.59
SDV 5.02
A2R 5.08
LAM 5.21
EUS 5.26

Where the number in front of the deicmal place is minutes and the two digits
to the
right are seconds.

Dammit, the 1-2 is what I was going to predict!
Looking at CSC and DSC times from Stage 1, there's nothing between them.
The times of the domestiques are so close it almost looked like team
orders to ride to a set pace.

I'm not sure about 3-4; I can't believe that ALL of the T-Mobile squad
underperformed in Stage 1. Apart from Vinokourov and Ullrich, Kloden is
away down at 51. T-Mobile have been next-to-invisible in the flat
stages and I just wonder if they are deliberately taking it easy to come
up with a TTT surprise...

My heart tells me now to reverse 1-2, with a no-technical-fault CSC
taking it out.

1. CSC
2. DSC +10"
3. TMO +1'15
4. PHO +1'30

Lotto surely deserved itself a reputation, mrbookmaker.be gives DVL by far
the worst odds, 1000.

I put the money on DSC at 1.80

TRG:
"1 CSC
2 DSC
3 PHO
4 GST "

Nice call, especially on the closeness, this time Lance and co. were 2
seconds faster than CSC.

What a day, I can hardly wait to see the cideo this evening.
What is the work on Zabriskie point? Badly injured or just a scrape?

5 Phonak Hearing Systems 1.31

Phonak really suprised me. They looked really ragged. They lack a team
leader to keep them in line (pun intended).

I also wonder why Lombardi is on CSC's team if the TTT was such a major
goal.

Well, they weren't rainy but the wrong guy definitely went down.
