Can we all agree that clipless pedals are the most overhyped piece of cycling gear, and that platform pedals with toe clips are actually the superior choice for commuting and casual rides, or are you all still drinking the Shimano Kool-Aid and insisting that clipless is the only way to ride efficiently - and if so, what makes you think that a 10% increase in pedaling efficiency is worth the risk of getting stuck in traffic and unable to clip out in time, not to mention the added expense and maintenance of clipless pedals versus the humble simplicity of platform pedals and toe clips.
