Is it possible that weve all been brainwashed into thinking that quaint little cafes and scenic overlooks are the epitome of memorable break stops, when in reality, the most unforgettable breaks are the ones that push us out of our comfort zones? Im talking about the sketchy roadside diners, the mysterious abandoned rest stops, or even the questionable convenience stores that make us wonder if well ever see our bikes again. Are we cyclists so quick to romanticize the idea of a picturesque break that were missing out on the raw, unbridled experience of the open road? Have we become too reliant on curated Instagram moments and lost sight of what truly makes a break memorable? Or am I just crazy for thinking that the most memorable breaks are the ones that leave us with a story to tell and a healthy dose of paranoia?
