Hi guys, i was just wanting feedback

I built up a XC hardtail with

Scott 2002 pro racing frame <--- 2nd-hand & Mint condition
new Fox F80rlt fork <----- non OEM came with instruction manual and pump
new XT front and back with disc brakes
new panaracer tires
new mavic rims
new Chris King Headset

all for $2,005 US dollars at my LBS.

The same LBS weighed it at 11kg.

is this a good deal or is there a existing Fox F80 equipped hardtail out there that is lighter?

I do realise that Scott are made in Taiwan, before anyone mentions it

This is not a attempt to see if I was ripped off, as I trust the good people at my LBS.

If your concern is weight, why did you spec discs?

If I replaced the shock on my race bike (a hardtail) with an F80 it would
weigh about 21.5-22 lbs, or 10 kilograms. Specs: 19 inch frame; disc
brakes.

Wow.

I tried to sit down and put together a bike with that calculator. I
really did. But it takes *so freaking long*!

You must have insane amounts of patients. Or maybe you're insane.

Let's see... The highLIGHTs would be:

2004 S-Works
RS SID
XTR brakes
SLR seat
CF handlebar
XTR cranks (less than 600 g!)
XTR BB-M950
XTR hubs
X317 rims
Supersonic tires
probably more but can't remember...

On the otherhand, I just put my old Oury grips back on... They're
rediculously heavy, but ya can't beat their comfort.
