Whats the point of even carrying a water filter or treatment tablets on a ride if theyre just going to add extra weight and bulk to your bike, are the few grams of weight savings from not carrying them really worth the risk of getting a stomach bug from contaminated water, or are people just too lazy to take the extra minute to properly treat their water before drinking it, and is it even worth worrying about when most tap water is probably just as contaminated as the stuff youd find in a stream or lake anyway.
