  1. so far i've made a soup (very simple --mashed squash, chopped onions,
and some cloves of garlic with roasted veggie stock). i am looking for
other ways to use the tons of kabocha squash that's available to me, as
it's in season and is my favorite fruit (yes, it has seeds, it is a
fruit!) to use in cooking. an added bonus is that it's 50c/pound at my
    local market.

any ideas? i would like to use it beyond soup, like a simple curry or
something stir-fried or sauteed with chunks of chicken.

Cut in half and bake with butter and a length of sugar cane split in
half. A Jamaican cook used to bring it in and it was sublime.
