    The M480 has a pressed steel outer ring and the M510 has a pressed aluminium
    one. There is quite a weight difference if you're bothered. The steel ring
    may last longer as Shimano alu rings are generally quite fast wearing.
    In both cases the granny and middle rings are steel.
