I haven't even been able to find out if they started - ironmanlive.com just gave me "we are updating
our race coverage, please check back momentarily". Now I don't even get that, just "An unexpected
error has occurred". www.ironman.ca gives me an error message too. Just trying to find out if the
race was cancelled due to the fires.
I saw last night they changed the run and swim course - don't understand how changing to a two-lap
swim helps anything.

They changed it due to the fact that their volunteer core of Fire Dept lifesaving personel was cut
by more than half due to the fire. They decided it was a safety issue and wanted to maximize the
presence of volunteers.
