Im looking at buying a road bike and I looked at a Felt and a Trek.
I looked at a Felt Z100 and a Trek 2&1 1.1 and don't know what one would be better?

You can't go wrong buying a Trek or a Felt from a reputable shop. Take them out for a spin and buy the one that (a) fits you better, (b) is handled by the salesman you like better, (c) is handled by the shop that you think will give you better service, or (d) is available in the color you like best. Or based on which control levers you like better, Sora or Microshift.
You might be hesitant about the Felt's Microshift 3x9 control levers. They work just as well as Sora, just a little differently.

+1 to what oldbobcat said. In general the best option for new riders when buying a new bike is to buy the bike that:
- Fits best
- Rides best
- Fits your budget
- Looks best
As oldbobcat mentioned, buying from a shop with whose staff you are happy and comfortable is always beneficial.
