  1. I understand the difference between fan, magnetic and fluid and I know the physical difference of a traditional trainer and a rim mount one.

    So are the rim mount trainers considered chinsy? Are they just as good as the ones that wear out the tires?

    Any assistance or advice for a trainer is good. Basically what I'm looking for is a quality remote control fluid unit that costs less than $250 or a magnetic trainer with the characteristics of something like this one performancebike.comprofile.cfm
    It will see constant use over the winter.

    Also, are the RealAxiom trainers worth it? They seem like they'd make indoor training much more interesting.
