  1. Ok enough is enough! we've seen saddles from the big bulging leather saddles of yesteryear to these latest carbon fibre saddles that are waffer thin!

My question is just which is the best saddle? I'm not talkin space age materials i'm talkin something thats comfortable on the back side!

Mine would have to be a selle Italia Flite! I'm sure Lance uses one??

The one that fits your butt, but maybe not mine. I like em hard flat and narrow.

  3. The most votes generally go to the Fizik Aliante although the price is rather steep.

  4. Believe Lance and the USPS team use Selle San Marco ERA saddles. I'm riding one now, and like it just fine. You can even get a replica model in USPS team colors. Lots of choices out there. Like boudreaux says, figure out what general style you like and take a chance from there. The Selle Italia website has some general info on selecting a saddle which might help.

  5. "Sir Lancelot" uses a relatively old fashioned choice, it's a San Marco Concor Light, it's refreshingly inexpensive in today's high tech world! ...not easy to find on sale, though! Try EBay then if you don't like it, you can aways sell it for about the amount you paid for it!

He has used this saddle for most of his career.

The other Postie's on the team use more modern saddles, from their sponsor, like the ERA.
