Insulin resistance is when you have been on it long enough (or your body simply resist it for no
reason in the beginning) and you no longer seem to get the same ffect taking it. For instance i got
diabetes when I was three, (Am 33 now) for a long time I had to take 10 units of Long acting, now i
must take 16 to get the same effect. It's much like any medicine or foreign body, if you take it
long enough it loses it's effect, this would be why a drug addict much have a higher and higher dose
to get the fix he once got from a small amount or dope. <G>
