What is cadence?

Basically, revs per minute for the pedals. FWIW, if your bike is performing well you should find that the pedals go around at roughtly the same cadence :-)

Still no help. So is one cadence/revolution the turning of both pedals or one?

Cadence is a rate, not an "event". If you have a cadence of 80 that means that both pedals have gone through a full revolution 80 times in one minute. If one has gone around 80 times then, by definition, so has the other :-)

The point is its how many times you pedal in a minute, its like a speed of your pedals, you always want to keep it as high as you can being the bottom line of all you need to know.
