What would happen if Iraq fully embraced the UN following the security council vote? Think about this for a moment.... If they did that and asked that the UN send troops to REPLACE the US troops there and assist them in the transition to Democracy, If the UN was to give the intemedary Iraqie government full autonomy on economic and infrastucture rebuilding to go with the autonomy of its security forces. If that was to happen, and the UN's role was seen as supportive UNDER the direction of the Iraqie government then any terrorist in Iraq would loose all credibility. Insurgents may well find their populist support gone. Insurgents without support are no longer terrorists, just common criminals.

hmm😕

I don't think that will happen. The majority of Iraqis despise the UN for letting them twist in the wind under Saddam all these years, not to mention the UN corruption of the oil for food program.

What if the U.N. really meant business?
what if the U.N. wasn't full of corruption?
What if the U.N. stopped "free loading" off of the USA?
What if the U.S. stopped handing out money to all the 3rd world countries and let them just duke it out?
What if the Americans just put on those little Powder puff blue helmets...would the world feel better? Would those pretty helmets scare the insurgents away?
What if I could give the world a coke?
I've got one. What if the U.N. had gotten off their lazy butts instead of counting their loot and stood behind their resolutions and risked their pencil thin necks in the first place? Then according to your theory, there would never have been any insurgents...right?:p
