  1. I am looking to put triple 9sp chainrings on an older 110/74 BCD crank (i.e., Suntour XC Pro, 1995 XTR M900) since I can get them at a better price than the TA Zephyr. But I don't know what spindle length to use. Currently, I have a 45mm front chainline with 105 crank, BB, and derailleur; and a 47.5 rear chainline with LX equipment. How do I figure out what spindle length to use on these older cranks?

Was chainline on the MTB cranks back in the mid '90's the 47.5 as it is today? If so, then the recommended spindle length back then should work now, right? If it was something different that 47.5, then I should be able to back-calculate, right?

  2. Try o na 127,5 as that will for sure work.
