Wetsuit ideas?

I am a newbie to the sport but my first tri is going to be in the frigid
waters off the washington coast, while most of my races will be in a
large lake that never gets much over 60 degrees and it would be nice to
have a suit for those races too. Any suggestions? I know I want to go
sleeveless (I am fine being cold in the ocean but I am very warm blooded
and overheat rather easily plus I am looking for those speedy transition
times) but preferably not more than $250...

Many triathlon specific online shops have last years wetsuits on clearance
right now. I bought last years Ironman Stealth sleeveless suit for $159.00.
I jumped into the lake for my first open water swim last week and it was
fantastic!

I don't know that going sleeveless will make your transition times any
faster. I always have the upper part of my suit off before I get
anywhere near my spot in transition.

I used my USAT coupon for Sports Basement to get a good deal on an Orca
wetsuit a few years back. I think I ended up paying about $200 for a
full suit after the $25 discount.

Which triathlon takes place in waters off the Washington coast?

If you're set on sleeveless then I can't recommend any suits, I don't
have experience with those. However, REI just started carrying
full-length wetsuits, made by a company called 19. The low-end ones are
pretty cheap, and all of them seemed easy to get in and out of. I ended
up going with the Pipeline, which worked pretty well for me over the
last season. It's a little too buoyant in the legs for my taste, but
definitely warm enough for WA, comfortable, and easy to get out of in
transition.
